Natation - Championnats d’Europe (petit bassin) : première médaille pour la Tchéquie

La Tchéquie a décroché sa première médaille aux Championnats d’Europe de natation en petit bassin, organisés à Lublin (Pologne). Mercredi, Jan Čejka a terminé troisième du 200 mètres dos. Décrochant ainsi le bronze.

Dans un temps de 1’49’’43, nouveau record national, le nageur tchèque a été devancé par l’Irlandais John Shortt (1’47’’89 - nouveau record du monde junior), nouveau champion d’Europe, et le Français Mewen Tomac (1’48’’62), médaillé d’argent.

Ancien champion du monde et d’Europe junior, Jan Čejka, 24 ans, qui avait terminé 6e sur la distance aux Championnats du monde en grand bassin à Singapour l’été dernier, a ainsi offert sa première médaille à la Tchéquie chez les hommes dans la compétiton depuis 2003.
